The establishment of the Faculty of Fine Arts on 18 May 1988, in Cetinje, the place in which Art high school has been established in the wake of the World War II, marked a termination of a multi-decade circle in the development of fine arts pedagogical institutions in Montenegro. The Faculty is placed in the building of the former Russian Embassy, which is protected as a monument of culture by a special act.
Undergraduate, specialist and postgraduate studies are organized within the Faculty. Undergraduate studies imply 6 semesters, specialist studies 2 semesters and postgraduate studies 4 semesters.
Faculty of Fine Arts offers 4 programs of academic studies:
- The Painting
- The Sculpture
- The Graphics
- The Design
Postgraduate studies are organized for all four study programs.
